A few dots glow as targets, then everything turns identical and drifts around. Keep your eyes on the targets — when they stop, pick them out. Climb mode ramps the difficulty; Staircase mode (NeuroTracker-style) holds 4 targets and adapts the speed to find your tracking-speed threshold.
